"Winya Wines" is
honoured to take its name from the pioneer William Butler, the
"Grand Old Man of Kilcoy" loved and respected in the whole
region. The Winya vineyard reflects the vision and
innovation that William Butler had for this fertile area.

Nestled in the picturesque valley of Sandy Creek and situated at 145
Sandy Creek Road Kilcoy, "Winya Wines" is just 1 hours easy drive from
Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. Owners Gary (Snow) and Sue Pratten
ventured into grape growing in 1997 as an addition to their successful
beef cattle property. The wines are processed by winemaker Thomas
Honnef from Oceanview Winery, Mt.Mee; the result being 8 varieties of
superb Queensland Wines and 2 varieties of port, which are recognized
for their fine quality.

Visitors are welcome to visit the recently opened cellar door where fine
wine tasting can be enjoyed in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere whilst
appreciating the breathtaking views of the surrounding district. Visitors
are also welcome to visit the on farm display of quality black angus beef cuts.
Barbeque facilities are available for those wishing to cook up a steak
to have with a glass of red. Operating times are between 10am and 4pm
Wednesday to Sunday.
